Riddhi Benani
Riddhi Benani is a London-based Indian artist and colourist. Her work is rooted in feeling, memory, and the quiet strength of the feminine spirit.
Raised in a home where stories of Radha, Durga, and Kali were passed down by her nani (maternal grandmother), Riddhi grew up surrounded by a living archive of ancestral wisdom. These weren’t just tales, they were inheritances that shaped how she sees the world and how she creates within it. Drawing from Indian folklore, classical symbolism, and her own emotional landscapes, Riddhi paints intuitively, layering color and texture to tell stories that are both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Her practice is spiritual without spectacle, feminine without fragility, and powerful without noise. The divine feminine flows through her work, alive in every brushstroke and expressed through vibrant color and quiet strength.
Her goddesses emerge in fragments of gold, gesture, and
sky—fluid, emotive, and deeply human.
For Riddhi, color is language. Blue is the weight of memory. Orange is quiet courage. Her paintings aren’t made to impress, but to stay. To meet you in your quietest places and remind you
You were always sacred.
You just needed to see it again in color.
